Bonnaroo 2014 with Wiz Khalifa Wrap-Up
Bonnaroo 2014 wrapped up in Manchester, TN this weekend and boasted plenty of performers across every genre of music imaginable; Skrillex, Elton John, and even the hot-blooded Kanye West, all made appearances to crowds that surged upwards of 80,000 fans. Bonics and Wiz Khalifa took the stage shortly before the legendary Elton John, and they performed tracks off of Wiz’s most recent mixtape “28 Grams,” and, crowd favorite, “Rolling Papers.” Check out more pictures and recap videos after the jump below!
Fresh off of his trip to South Africa with Wiz, Bonics took the trip to Tennessee and grabbed some behind the scenes pictures of the entire performance. This is the second time that Bonics has made the trip with Wiz to perform at Bonnaroo. For a blast from the past, you can read about the first experience here.
Wiz started off his Father’s Day performance by letting the Bonnaroo festies know exactly what he was there to do: “Y’all ready to smoke with Wiz Khalifa tonight?” Fitting in well with the festival crowd, he played a set list that covered everything from Bout Me to James Bong, and, the song that seemed to resonate the most with the energetic crowd, Young, Wild, And Free (sans Snoop Dogg.)
For the show’s encore, Wiz performed his latest single, We Dem Boyz, and afterwards greeted Amber Rose, who was waiting in the wings for him, which must have been a great way to end Father’s Day.
