Full circle moment on my radio show today on @go953mn ! When I was growing up Notorious B.I.G.’s “Ready to Die” was one of my FAVORITE albums. He painted a picture so well with words that you could visualize everything he was saying. His “rags to riches” story was very inspirational and it helped me understand that no matter what hand your dealt with it’s possible to impact the world in your own special way. He was 24 when he died. And in that very short lived life he was able to impact a generation. Today on the #highnoonmixshow it struck me that his music influenced my love of Hip Hop culture and 21 years later to be able to pay tribute to him live on the airwaves @go953mn for thousands of people is a direct chain of events going back to spending hours in my bedroom listen to artist like BIG. It was all a dream! I used to read source magazine and never thought that I would experience everything I have to date; Djing, touring the world with rap legends and speaking to people everyday on the radio. All this because someone like Biggie sparked my love for the culture. Thank you BIG. I’m glad that I can share your music and my story to others. Rest in Power! – from Instagram
